Terms of service

General information

This website and shop is owned and operated by me, Leena Hyttinen. My studio, shop and business address is Kehräsaari A 118, 33200 Tampere, Finland, and register number 1624269-6 in Finnish Trade register. I am the designer and seller of all the products on this website.

The terms and conditions listed below will apply between customer and Leena Hyttinen online shop for the sale and purchase of the products. I reserve the right to modify or update these terms and conditions, and you agree to be bound by such updates on subsequent visits. Please read these terms carefully before placing an order, and make sure to revisit the terms of service for possible updates. Placing an order indicates that you accept the terms and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.

These terms of service are valid as of March 1, 2021, until further notice.

All items on my shop are designed by me and handcrafted either by me (all ceramic products/artworks) or by highly skilled artisan glassblowers in Finland. The items are produced either in small series, or they are unique, one-of-a-kind treasures.

Due to the nature of materials and handmade production methods, the products may vary a little from the photos. Please take this into consideration when making your order. My work is entirely handcrafted and minor differences are only natural.

Please note that I cannot guarantee the colours appearing on the shop product photos are reflected as they appear in reality. The colours can be reflected in different ways depending on your screen and computer settings and may look slightly different in reality.

Orders

Orders are collected from the online shop by adding the products to the shopping cart. The order is confirmed by using the check-out functionality to pay for the order. By confirming the order, you accept these terms of service, product pricing and shipping costs. All orders are confirmed by email after you have placed the order with information about the ordered items/services, total price with taxes and shipping costs. You will also receive a shipping confirmation with tracking number once your order has been sent. In order to receive these confirmations you will need to provide a valid email address when placing the order.

Payment

Orders are paid during check out. All transfers are handled and transacted through third-party dedicated gateway to guarantee your protection. Card information is not stored and all card information is handled over SSL encryption.

Payments are processed either by PayPal or Stripe. Paying with both is safe, and all transaction information is exchanged through secured connections.

Payment methods

With PayPal you can pay with your debit/credit card or through your PayPal account if you have one.

With Stripe you can pay with your debit/credit card (Visa, Mastercard, and American Express).

Taxes and local customs

All prices are in euros and they include Finnish VAT 24 % or 10 %. Please note that when ordering outside EU, customer is responsible for the local customs and taxes that are not included in the shipping costs. Please contact your local customs service for further information.

Shipping

Orders are shipped during weekdays from Tampere, Finland. I will use either Finnish postal service Posti, Matkahuolto or, for international orders, a reputable international courier service such as DHL or DB Schenker. The items will be sent with a tracking number for the benefit of both parties.

Local customers can choose to pick up their order from my studio in Kehräsaari, Tampere.

Products from the stock are usually processed and shipped within 3 workdays. Delivery time is 2–7 working days for Europe and 7–14 days outside Europe. Shipping times are only estimates and I will not take responsibility for any delays. Delivery for products that are not in stock usually takes 4–6 weeks due to production time.

Shipping costs are defined by flat rates with VAT charges included. For domestic orders, flat rate shipping is 10,90 €, for Europe 14,90 €, and for international shipping 29,90 €.  

Please inform me without a delay – at least within 14 days – in case a product was lost or damaged in shipping. The logistics company must be also informed regarding any products damaged in shipping. 

Returns

I hope you will love and cherish the items you purchase from me. However, if you find that the item you have purchased is damaged or defective or otherwise not as you expected, returns are possible.

Please note that I cannot accept returns due to slight colour or size differentiations, due to the fact that products are individually handcrafted and minor variations are only natural. Discounted products, special orders and custom-made orders are not returnable, exchangeable or refundable unless they are damaged or defective merchandise.

Any other returns will be handled on an individual case basis. Before sending any returns, please contact me within 5 days of receiving the item by email at leena(at)leenahyttinen.fi with your order ID number and clear description of the issue.

All returned items must be returned unused and be properly repacked in their original packaging. I will refund the sum paid, minus the costs of shipping, after I have received the products. You are responsible for all costs of return shipping.

All international returns must be clearly marked on the outside as “Returned Goods” to avoid import duty. Any import duty that is incurred will be deducted from the refund.

You can also return your product in person in my studio/shop in Tampere.
